Sasha Baron Cohen to adopt African baby named “O.J.”?

In his tiny, barely publicized, obscure new summer movie, Bruno, Sasha Baron Cohen (a.k.a. Borat) plays a Eurotrash fashionista who “adopts” a black baby. In the film’s sentimental trailer, Cohen’s alter-ego Bruno is seen picking the newly imported baby off an airport luggage carousel and guesting on an apparently plausible talk show hosted by Richard Bey:
The production team, along with Bey, had set up a fictional program to invite an unsuspecting audience to participate in a segment where the (fictional) Bruno character appears as a guest, talking about his adopted son, who is black and named O.J….several audience members become furious.
This is surprising since Bruno claims he’s adopted O.J. for the purest of reasons: “Brangelina’s got one, Madonna’s got one, now Bruno has one.” Though Cohen recently pretended to apologize to Madonna for suggesting she’s collects African babies like Fabergé eggs, he must be rather thrilled with the timing. Bruno, which premieres July 10, was filmed well before Madonna’s latest bid for a Malawi adoptee.
As for O.J. (above right), he seems rather bored by the whole laboriously provocative affair.
